Privacy Policy
UseEdith is designed around short-lived anonymous sessions and a private, user-controlled document history.
Document processing
Uploaded documents are processed on infrastructure operated for MOTOER GROUP sp. z o.o.. Anonymous working files are automatically removed after two hours and can be deleted earlier from the editor. We do not use document contents for advertising, profiling or model training.
AI features you choose to use
Editing, OCR, conversion and export do not require AI. When you explicitly use an AI writing action, UseEdith sends only the selected text, requested action, language and the minimum technical instructions needed to perform it. When you ask AI to create a document, we send your brief and the available template field descriptions. We do not send the complete PDF to the AI provider.
OpenAI provides the API used for these requests. Requests are sent with response storage disabled and are not made available for training OpenAI models. Under the provider's standard API controls, input and output may remain in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days unless a shorter retention arrangement applies. UseEdith does not write prompts or model responses to its application logs. If you apply a suggestion, it becomes part of your working document and follows that document's retention period.
Sensitive information
Do not send health data, criminal records, children's data, professional secrets or other highly sensitive information to an AI feature unless it is necessary, lawful and suitable for your use case. You control the text selected for review and the facts included in a document brief.
Technical data
We process security logs, IP-derived rate limits, browser diagnostics and product events needed to protect, operate and improve the service. Product events contain the selected tool and language, result status, counts, file sizes, duration and pseudonymous account or session tokens. They do not contain file names, form field values, prompts, passwords or document contents and are removed after 400 days.
Accounts, document history and free allowance
You do not need an account to open or use a quick PDF tool, or to open and edit a document in the full editor. An account is requested only when you choose to export from the full editor, or when you choose to save an anonymous quick-tool result to your history.
For an account, we store the email address, password hash, interface language, acceptance and login timestamps, and document-history metadata such as the original file name, tool, result format, size, page count and retention date. We never store your password in readable form. The time of the first new full-editor export is used to apply the rolling 30-day free allowance.
When you are signed in, completed quick-tool results are added to your history automatically. When you are not signed in, the result remains in the anonymous two-hour session and you may choose “Save to history” afterward. Quick-tool account history retains the finished result and minimal metadata; the uploaded source and processing artefacts are removed after the result is saved.
File passwords
A password entered to protect or unlock a PDF is used only for that processing request. It is not written to the account database, document history, metadata or application logs. A saved history item may contain the finished protected or unlocked PDF, but never the password used to create it.
Retention and deletion
Anonymous files expire after two hours. Files deliberately saved to an account remain available for 30 days from the latest saved operation so that the same editor document can be reopened or exported again. You can delete an individual history item at any time. Deactivating an account signs the user out and blocks access; it does not immediately erase the account record or history. Existing file retention periods continue to apply.
Service providers and international transfers
We use providers needed for infrastructure, security and the functions you select. OpenAI receives the limited content described above only when an AI feature is invoked. The operator is established in Poland. Where processing involves a transfer outside the EEA, we use the applicable adequacy decision or contractual and technical safeguards required by data protection law.
